PMC raises a record-breaking $64 million

On November 3, our largest single contributor, the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), the nation’s single most successful athletic fundraiser, announced their record-breaking 2021 fundraising total—an outstanding $64 million raised in support of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, far exceeding its 2021 fundraising goal.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, the PMC has raised more than $114 million for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC donates 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to support lifesaving cancer research, treatment, and care at Dana-Farber, and this unmatched and generous gift brings the PMC’s total contributions since 1980 to an incredible $831 million.

Watch as PMC founder and executive director Billy Starr shared the news virtually with the PMC community.

We are grateful to each PMC rider, donor, sponsor, and volunteer for their dedication to Dana-Farber’s mission. Thanks to PMC’s support, we continue to get closer by the mile to defying cancer.

You can get involved and give back through PMC, too! Save the date for next year’s PMC weekend, August 6-7, 2022.
